If you are a long-time reader of Savvy Homemaking, I suspect you may have seen inconsistencies and non-follow through on various hopes and intentions along the way.
For that, I am sorry.
Thank you for sticking with me through it all.
When I launched Savvy Homemaking 5 years ago, I had no idea what the blogging world was going to be like, and with 4 children five and under, and another on the way, I was not prepared for the amount of responsibility it required.
I believe, though, that the time has come to re-commit to this space and make it what I have always wanted.
A space to help believing homeschooling moms to learn ways to navigate life at home so that they can stay sane and healthy in all aspects.
I’m not yet quite sure how to do all that, but I’m committed to figuring it out!
Time to Re-Launch
So, for this reason, I will be taking some time to get my ducks in a row and get a plan in place to re-launch this site for the amazing people who read it!
You deserve a great space, and I deeply want to provide it.
I suspect this will take me several weeks to get together and situate, but I am eager and excited to go through the process.
Recently, I considered selling the site to another blogger. I thought that there was likely someone else who could make this site all that it could be.
But, the Lord had different plans! As I began the process of talking with potential buyers, I realized more and more that I was not yet ready to give up the site where I have so many hours of sweat equity built in.
This site is like having a growing child, and even though seasons of frustration come, I value action over inaction, and leaning in versus giving up.
I’m leaning in. You’re worth it!
What topics are you aching to see addressed?
Even though this site is associated to “homemaking,” as of yet it is not a DIY-filled place on making a home aesthetically pleasing, but rather training the hearts and minds at home to build a united family atmosphere that loves the Lord above all else.
I do, however, want to make sure that I work to provide quality content that is beneficial for and connecting to the hearts of my readers.
So, what topics do you want to see?
What struggles are you enduring right now?
What issues need some helpful advice or suggestions for great resources?
What problems are happening within your home that you would love a fresh perspective to help navigate?
The more responses and comments I get on these questions, the better Savvy Homemaking will be and the more applicable the site will be for your life. Even one to two words helps.
In the meantime…
So, keep an eye open for the re-launch, but in the mean-time I hope to connect with you on Instagram or Facebook during #coffeewiththeking or throughout the day.
We’re better together. Let’s build this community.
